WOW, this is a very unfortunate incident, but not the first of this kind within DISD. This is probably the worst one though.

Im sure this will have teams lining up to schedule them in the future. :rolleyes:

Don't know if this would work at football games in some of these troubled areas, but here is a suggestion:

Prior to kickoff, have each entire team kneel at the 50 facing each other. Have a very respected person from each community face each of their respective stands, take the wireless PA mike, and make an appeal for order and outline the 'blackeye' for their schools and consequences of violent behavior for fans and players alike, to each of their respective crowds.

This is a GREAT idea but you know it could never happen "just" with the schools in the troubled areas because that would be "discrimination".

On the 4A board a poster from Lake Travis said that the LT/Killeen freshman game was suspended in the middle of the 4th qtr due to gunshots being fired in the neighborhhood of the Killeen stadium.:dispntd:
