I think Mack Brown said it best Saturday night after beating Texas Tech, "College Football has simply turned into who can survive for 14 weeks". Throughout the first three weeks of the young season a Top 5 team has been upset. The new argument now is that it's not about finding the true two best teams in the nation, but finding the two that in December survived the long season the best. The goal is to find two that went unbeaten, but as the past few years have shown, that doesn't even happen very often. It is now find the best one loss team, BUT that one loss must have been early in the season rather than late. It just seems like it has changed a ton over the last 15-20 years
