Orange Grove is a scrappy team. They were down 28-0 (if memory serves) to Banquete and fought their way back to make a game of it (still lost 20-28). They love to run, run & run some more. Good RB, good line. As long as our guys make their reads and make the tackle on first contact, we will be good. Gotta wrap up and hit 'em low.

Our offense can & will score points. Will we do it through the air or on the ground? :thinking: hmmmmmmmmmm :D I say, give 'em both! I think it's time to unleash our RB! :eek: :cool:

Orange grove has had decent speed the last couple of years. Sinton QB has had some good games passing the ball and I expect to see the same this coming Friday. Sinton wins but I don't know by how much... :thinking:

I'd say it'll be about the same as last week except Orange Grove will probably score. Sinton seems to lose their intensity, focus or whatever in the 2nd half for some reason or another.

I think the last time it was used was 67 or 68. Personally, I think they should bring it back. Just like they need to bring back maroon and silver uni's. More Sinton teams wore maroon and silver than they ever did maroon and white. And I want the silver helmets with the maroon stripe down the middle again. :D

silver helmets with the maroon stripe is old school, im a fan of the revo's with the split stripe!

Im glad we kept the neverending S on the helmets though! its our symbol and original, i think its the best symbol in the state

Yeah i miss it too! it was a good rivalry between two powerhouses of south texas football....Sinton would have smashed em last yr, its a shame they stopped it

We are actually trying to get a cannon "noise". now that we have the LOUDEST :D speakers in the area. haha

Coach Allen has told us why we can't and I just can't seem to remember. We did try using the cannon sound effect in the Goliad game, but it wasn't loud enough.

If anyone knows where we can get a good, clean sounding cannon effect, let me know!

Find someone that does reinactment stuff, like the battle at Goliad and such.... There you will find your Cannon.

Refugio might be 2A, but winning at their place is not easy...I don't think mama feeds them for a week or something if they lose at home... it can get very intense if its close late in a game at Refugio. One of the harder places to win in Region4

It was a great rivalry but I was told Refugio ended it because they were getting too many players injuried. I wish Sinton wouldn't play 4A schools for that reason. We had a couple of good games with Raymondville that were most enjoyable and close.
We also had great rivalries with Taft and Odem because they were close to us but when they went to 2A they dropped us quickly not that I blame them.

The Pirate offense will be moving the ball down the field on the ground and in the air. The Pirate Defense will have to wrap up and make good tackles. This is the start of the REAL season. Take care of business guys.

missed tackles. missed tackles & oh yeah...missed tackles. I knew OG would be tough because whether people waant to face/admit it, we aren't where we need to be! we'd better wake up & get there or we're gonna miss the bus!

on a bright note, i don't think we had any fs penalties.
