I think this one is going to come down to the Cowboys "O" line vs. the Giants front 4. I'm kind of worried that the big, old offensive Cowboy linemen are going to a have a hard time containing the young, physical, and very quick and aggressive Giant passrush. I hope the rest of the Cowboy game will make up for this mis-match and the Cowboys have a good day running the football. The Dallas secondary will also be tested by Manning----he has become a plently accurate passer.

No matter---da 'Boys are going to rally and beat those Big Apple boys today.....Go Cowboys!

I think this is a "must win" game already.

I think the Cowboys need to win this home game because I think it would be pretty difficult to beat these guys in New York.

That said, if we lose both games to NY, there would be a good chance the Cowboys don't win the division. Don't win the division, then ya have to hope ya get a wild card..

Let's just win today baby!

And the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game was:
a) 2007
b) 2001
c) 1999
d) 1996

It takes a real HIGH IQ to know the answer to this one (take "d" - the LONGEST Drought possible!)

Seems to me the Giants have won a playoff game or two since '96..and before you ask, I'm a Steelers fan.

For the Cowboys...

A win would mean ...
Tony Romo and the Cowboys would get off to a 2-0 start for the third straight season, which would be the club's longest streak since 1977-79, and give them at least an early-season edge over a team many think is the best in the NFC East. Plus, they would christen the $1.15 billion stadium with a regular-season victory after closing Texas Stadium with a disheartening loss to Baltimore.

A loss would mean ...
The Giants would have two straight NFC East wins after beating Washington in the season opener, which would be huge in a division expected to be tight throughout the season. The Cowboys would have to pick up the pieces from a loss in their first game at the new stadium. If the rest of the season went right, the Cowboys would face an almost certain must-win game Dec. 6 in their final regular-season trip to Giants Stadium

I believe in the cowboys cuz the D and the running game picked up romos slack.. That Just shows how great they are -4 in TO and still almost won...I have never seen a team get as lucky as NY dis and yes I no luck is part of the game but still... The cowboys dominated this game but still came out with a loss...

I think the Cowboys were lucky in that game just as the Giants were lucky tonight.
However, Romo did suck tonight.

Romo is the problem. I said it last year when TO left that TO is not the problem, it's Romo.

He led the league in fumbles last year for Christ's sake!

He started 13 games last year and threw 14 INT's!

I mean come on!

Statistically, he is a lock almost every game for atleast 1 INT and in most cases 1 fumble.

It's not like his 3 INT's tonight were small mistakes either. They were all horrible misses.

Did they?
Because the Giant's had less than 100 yards rushing for the game and never put the ball in the end-zone on a drive that didn't start with a Tony Romo turnover. They stepped up big 3 times in the redzone and stopped the Giants.

1 of their offensive touchdowns started with a 20 yard field courtesy of Romo throwing it 4 feet behind Witten.
The other was on a drive where as soon as they got off the field, Romo flung a punt into the air, the FS caught it and the defense had to go right back out into very hot playing conditions again. (Multiple players on both teams needed IV's throughout the game because of the heat)
And their other lone touchdown was on a pick 6 deep within our own territory.

The defense did what they had to do to win.

Manningham's catch in the endzone was a lucky bounce and on the last drive the DE makes a great play deflecting the ball and it just happens to go right in stride with the inside reciever. The defense played really good I thought.

the giants drove down the field and scored the game winning fg. And dont give me that bs hot conditions...thats the worse excuse i have ever heard.

and look at my other thread about manningham's td and the tip ball

and i know it was a TERRIBLE pass to whitten but it was not 4ft behind whitten...im not making any excuses for romo bc i believe it was 98% of his fault but to me it looked like whitten gave up when the ball was behind him and looked a little lackadaisical...and which if he didnt i dont think that pic happened

I guess getting no rest helps you though right? Coming off the field from a drive, resting for a couple seconds then going back out for another is no big deal?

Oh okay. I wasn't aware NFL defenses are immune to fatigue?

Face it, the defense got put in some hairy situations and still did very well.

Like you told me to do, I read the other thread and you're pretty much saying exactly what I'm saying with the tipped pass and juggled end-zone catch. But if you're saying those are lucky and if you take one away than the cowboys win...well doesn't that mean the defense did a pretty damn good job if it takes some BS lucky breaks for the Giants to win?

The defense allowed 26.
The Giants defense allowed 31.
Romo allowed, gave, handed over, whatever 7 points.

Take Bozo the clown out from under center and the defense plays well enough TO WIN THE GAME.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the running game looked good tonight. That's what kept them in the game. Here's hoping that Barber isn't out for an extended period of time.

The defense held Jacobs to 12 total yards in the first half and 94 total. Thats a first in a long time that the giants have been held under 100 yards rushing. The problem was Phillips got conservative and stopped blitzing until the last couple of plays

The real lesson from this game has got to be ...

... DON'T DO DRUGS!!!

You can argue with me about this, but most of the 3ADL members could have led the Cowboys better last night ... including P4S!
