West actually won 34-27 over Groesbeck, not 34-7. And my own personal opinion, Abilene Wylie has a good a shot at a state title as any team in any other region. I think they are for real, and will stomp La Vega Friday night.

So how do you feel about Hank Baskett getting cut to make room
for Jeff Garcia? I guess you Eagles don't have much faith in Kolb huh?

Not the strongest as in the past, but still a very good region nonetheless.

Honest, I'm a Liberty Hill fan, but there is no way they rate the number 3 spot yet. Let's see how they contend with Brownwood first!

I do not think West should be in the top 10 either, no disrespect, but they have not played anyone. Gatesville has played a tougher schedule, and they have competed well. Glen Rose is another team who may be on the rise, they are starting to put thing's together. They lost to Mineral Well's, which by the way is 3-0 right now. Granted they are going no where in 4A, but they are much improved over last year.

Truthfully, Gatesville got some serious consideration over Perryton. In
my opinion Perryton had the edge. As far as West goes, they are 3-0. Unless they
lose to one of those "nobodies" they are right
where they should be.

At this point let's just classify Glen Rose as also receiving votes. ;)

The real test comes next week. After a bye week, Mexia comes to town, so this game will really show where the boys are.

What?? We are discussing 7 3A Football on a District 2 Board. Lightning will strike us dead.

Trojan you are right, Mexia will be a tough test. If you guy's beat them I will not talk about West not playing anybody. I saw where China Spring walked into a buzz saw against Mexia, and I didn't think anyone in 3a could blow them out.

Well, Monahans isn't going anywhere. They have a weak schedule for the remainder of the season infact they will not be tested till the 2 or 3 round of the playoffs. That might hurt them come playoff times.Their toughest game will be Seminole which went into O.T with Sweetwater which Monahans beat 48-0.

M-town lobo fan: It may hurt us come play off time, but also note the secound team gets alot of playing time also so that can only help.
