its a final La Grange 4-3 over the hill. Just to wild. the hill had to many errors. they never gave up and neither did the leopards. But its a best of 3 so don't count those eagles out just yet they gave La Grange all they could handle.

boys - forney 4, wills point 0 -- forney wins one game playoffI've seen conflicting schedules, so this was a ONE (1) game, winner take all?? If so, Congrats to Forney!! :)

Jasper now knows what it means when they say "snatching defeat from the jaws of Victory. Check out the box score:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Final
Jasper 2 0 0 1 2 1 0 6
Lorena 1 0 0 0 0 0 6 7

The really good teams play their best ball when their back is against the wall. Congrats Leopards, you've shown why you're ranked #1 in the state. Losing pitcher Yeates, winning reliever Hornung. (Weghorst started for Lorena, was relieved in the 6th. Yeates was relieved in the 7th by Parker, but winning run was already on base.
Highlights, Parker 2 run homer and Ratcliff had a solid double in the first inning for Jasper.
Lorena had a rough night thru 6 innings, committed 5 errors, allowed 3 scores on wild pitches. But Lordy what a bottom of the 7th comeback. When all they had to do was hit, that they did!

SOFTBALL:

According to the Houston Chronicle, #4 Kirbyville beat #1 Splendora in 7 innings, 1-0. eek!

What a wild night, I am truly surprised to see La Grange and Lorena win over Barbers Hill and Jasper-but one run is as good as a dozen! SOFTBALL: Kirbyville beating Splendora is a mid surprise. Holly Tankersley(Kirbyville) and Melissa Collins(Splendora) were both pitchers from the Beaumont Blast select team training program-they are BOTH National level. One of Bridge City's Pitchers, Meagan Godwin, is also a Beaumont Blast player....Well Southeast Texas has done quite well in Region III softball with Kirbyville's win; and Lufkin Hudson playing Bridge City tonight for the other Finalist spot.... Big night again tomorrow night-Let's continue to post them all right here, it makes it easier to find...

I am not suprised to hear that kirbyville beat splendora. I went and watched them play huffman hargrave and wasn't that impressed despite their pitcher. When I saw kirbyville play China Springs, I knew they would be the team to look out for even though they had some errors.

Barbers Hill / LaGrange

Man what a game! Down 3-0 in the bottom of the 7th, the Eagles battle back to tie it up. Both teams showed lots of character but the Leps pulled this one out. I can't say enough about the pitchers, Homer was bringing it for 7 innings and Northcutt was nothing short of a warrior in going 9 innings. Great game guys. Tonight, round two, let's do it again.

Eagles Eagles Eagles .....Just Do It!

Wow, I'm surprised that Barbers Hill hung with LG. La Grange just has to stay focused and it would have been 3-0.

Old Cardinal, you must not have seen La Grange play this year, or maybe not even Barbers Hill, because when you look at the two teams and their talent levels, you would not be surprised at all to see La Grange beat them easily.

Ask La Grange How Easy it was to beat Barbers Hill :p This seris is not over yet!! It looks to me that if Homer would have stayed all 9 innings the Eagles would have taken game one :D

I have nothing against Jasper, but it didn't surprize me to see #1 beat #8. Lorena did have me worried about my prediction though. I don't think they'll let it go that far tonight.

Come on Eagles!!! I have the faith in Trent Hargrave he's a real good pitcher w/ some good stuff. He's exactly opposite of aaron Bazan in my opinion. He'll be around the plate all night w/ less walks. Just hope we can play a flawless game because take away all the eagle errors in the series and the series would have been the eagles already. Also hope those bats wake up a little earlier but later is better than nothing :D

OK, I'll agree with you....we do seem to possess that...didn't mean to upset you! Guess you were at the game?
