Atlanta has quietly started the year out very well, losing by 7 to Daingerfield and beating 4A Royse City before getting pounded by Carthage last week.

a win here against highly likely playoff team Tatum, out of Gilmer's district, would certainly give them a boost as the Rabbits head into a killer district schedule (all six teams are in the Regional top 25)

I expect this to be a very close game.

Rabbits will win by 7 in a great GOTW.

I'll take Tatum...just because they are part of our district.

Look on Smoaky for most of them. You know....on the man's forum.

Atlanta has been up and down already this year, but their up and down is ahead of where they were last year.

They have potential for big things this season, but a head of steam going into district would be crucial

I really like to watch Atlanta when I can. Those boys over there are just FAST. Their 2003 team was the fastest 3A team I've seen. Tatum is a factory for producing D1 football players (recently Blackmon & Beall currently starting at Houston - Creer at Tennesee). Should be a close game.

Creer is no longer at Tennessee. He transferred to Louisiana Tech.

Isn't that were Houston Tumminello went? GJ looked good against Tulsa. How is Justin Johnson doing?

Yeah, Tuminello went to La Tech from here. I heard he caught some passes in their bowl game last year, which was probably in Shreveport.

GJ is looking good, but not AGAINST Tulsa. He's the starting QB FOR Tulsa. If he can pull off a shocker in Norman this weekend, he'll break into the national spotlight.

As for JJ, I don't know. He had six carries in the first game for Abilene Christian, but I can't see that he's made any impact in the last two games.

My bad I knew GJ was at Tulsa not against. OU should be a huge test. BTW, Van's Jermie Calhoun got his 1st college TD last week for OU.

Tuminello had the best hands I have seen. He was amazing in Canton and Gilmer.

I wish JJ the best but I never really thought of him as a RB who would make an impact in college. But I know he was highly thought of by scouts that know more than me. Great HS back but to me he didn't look very quick compared to other backs I've seen. Maybe it was just his running style.

Did Manual make the roster or practice squad for the Cowboys? I hope so, great guy.

I had that same thought about JJ. Once he got in the open field, it was fairly difficult to catch him, but he seemed to start out in slow motion, relatively speaking.

Manuel made the practice squad for the Cowboys. You're right. He is just a superb human being in every way, from all I know about him. I actually was on the team with his dad at one time. His dad was a great athlete as well.
