Lmao. There have probably been atleast 8-10 people that say LH is down on this board alone, including 2 of your own fans. Reality is reality. You can think you're going to win another championship this year and that's fine. Fans are supposed to be optimistic about their teams, but MY best guess says... well, 1 and done probably.

It's an opinion. sheesh.

Believe me, after what happened on the JV level last year, I knew LH was going to get shut down. We just have too many studs on offense and our defense is legit. Wasn't worried at all.

Stephenville was a smoke screen. Most of our players were pulled early to avoid more unnecessary injuries.

Ahhhhhhhhh.....Classic 'Rocket' at last----I was afraid I was going to have to go somewhere else for entertainment last week. Now all is right with the world again. :D

Find a post where I said that we would! I know as well as anyone exactly what we lost in talent and depth, and I certainly know exactly what we have back. The reality is that we had 3 total returning starters plus our kicker. The reality is that most, including several of our fans, expected us to lose at least a couple of our predistrict games LAST year, when we had a very large group of talented starters returning, which are the exact same teams we're playing this year. I don't need to sit here with the poor-pitiful-mes' over our team and two losses that mean nothing.

Right... so basically we can agree that LH is not as good as they were last year? Not trying to knock them, but you guys have loads of inexperienced kids playing against top teams.... noone really expected you guys to win against Brownwood or Giddings. I think you'll be fine in district, but next year you will again be a true force. Again, my opinion. This year is about gaining experience for next for LH. :)

I'd go further than that. Watching Llano play Taylor last night I could very clearly see the Jackets corrected some of the glaring weaknesses Rockdale very clearly exposed in Week 0.

For that, many of us in Llano thank Rockdale. It was ugly, but lessons were learned at the best time to learn them. And Rockdale clearly "schooled" the Jackets.

To me, that's one of the main goals of non-district play; you challenge yourself, play up against some of the best who can expose what it is you really need to work on before district play started. You don't learn much of anything about what you need to work on before district play starts by scheduling a weak 2A team and winning 62-7. You really gain nothing from it but a cheap win.

But the real season starts now...

Love it when I can show my kids examples of class-less winners and class-filled losers in the same thread. Streamlines the process. Not referring to Ziggy.

You do know that "move the chains" is not from Brownwood and he is the one talking the trash!

I guess at the same time you can show your kids how judging people you do not know can also be bad!

Well, I beg to differ. There were 66 out of 113 people, who voted in the poll on this topic, that thought otherwise!

Young kids that have never started varsity games are gonna struggle early - especially when they feel they have to live up to tradition. Lots of self-imposed pressure. It can CRUSH teams if you're unrealistic about expectations.

LH will need all non-district games just to gain varsity experience...

liberty hill and december don't belong in the same sentence, no less being posted by a guy from brownwood unless you all are gonna get together on the stands and support wylie at the quarters or semis.

We can blame it on the inexperience all we want but Brownwood has just as much inexperience as we do and not to mention they had a few starters not playing...

The reality is, that the offense is just not moving the football. I dont know if it is play calling, what we do in practice all week to prepare for the game, or if our guys just dont come to play, but what we are doing isnt working.

I expected a good game this week considering we had just come off a confidence building win over Manor and considering Brownwood was coming into this one a little banged up and had just lost, but we still got our tails handed to us.

We shouldnt even be talking about December right now because if we dont figure things out then we might now even see a non-district game in November.

Good luck to the Panthers this week, its for real now!

Still, I haven't seen them... so I can't know for sure.
