is weather a factor in those scores?

Long way to go here Stumps runs only big plays so far. LE running massive amounts of clock. Running Power I for first time in years.

This one works for me:

17-15, LE. Gilmer scored after long KO return, but went for two and failed again.

Gilmer is driving again to the clinching TD after taking over at midfield on downs after an intentional grounding spot foul.

I think the LE announcers are talking about Stump Godfrey being so hard to bring down, but they hardly ever name Gilmer players.

To be honest with you, Gilmer is a long way from being where they need to be. They may be ranked #1, but they haven't jelled well enough yet. They will have to improve a lot over the next few weeks if they want to compete for a title.

I agree. Gilmer is definitely number 1. :) ;)

And WOS almost got beaten by 2a KV  so they won't be moving up in the ratings.

Haha......that's funny. My daughter's halftime performance got rained out. It was sad. She was pretty upset. We were all soaked. The bottom fell out of the clouds right at kickoff. It didn't let up for a solid hour. Then the lightning came. I heard there were only a few sprinkles early over in Texarkana, then no rain at all.:( I sure wished I could've went. You didn't go, did you?

You could probably say that about most teams right now. Sounds like ya'll are well on your way. I see both these teams making some noise as the season goes on.

There were a couple of things that could be exploited against the defense mainly the run. You guys are solid though and I don't think any other 3A team is better at this point.

LE offense vs Gilmer defense proved not to be the major factor in tonight's game. Conversely, the Gilmer offense spent one half shooting themselves in the foot and finally got it together in half 2. Hats off to the Leopards for a gutsy performance.
Too many mistakes for LE proved to be their undoing. Gilmer is a better team than they showed tonight, but I honestly believe the better team won. LE should be fine and make some serious noise in the playoffs!

Good job Buckeyes!!!! Next up; Bulldogs!!!

From what I have seen from wo-s thus far they should be around # 7.Their offense is just not improving like it should and makes to many mistakes and penelties.

I know your dogs will be picked as the underdog next week j-dog, but I'm a little concerned. You know yall always play us tuff anyway.

Is Gilmer supposed to win every game 100-7 before we can consider them "jelled?" Just wondering.

If they get it going they may hang a hundred on someone. Gilmer can be beaten if you play a perfect game but they don't have to play perfect to beat you.Great team:clap:

Now don't sell the Leopards short Dad! Y'all's defense had a lot to do with us not playing "perfect"! LE probably had more athletes on the field than we will see the rest of the year with Daingerfield being the only possible exception. I honestly expected to see a little less discipline on LE's side, but to their credit, they played very controlled throughout the game. Those two fumbles just killed y'all and gave us all kinds of momentum.
LE is a very solid team! They are gonna be a tough match-up for the rest of the D1 bracket in Reg II.

I had wrote on an earlier thread that I thought LE and Gilmer could both be posting on our teams well beyond week 10 . Thanks for the great game. Several of our players were very complimentry of the Gilmer fans telling them what a good game they had played. It is a pleasure to play ya'll and I hope we can do it again next year.

I hope Gilmer/LE becomes a yearly event. Both teams can only improve by playing each other. Plus, we need to put a bigger dent in that "alltime record"!:D Y'all still have a commanding lead!

The O-line still has some problems to work on. The Def showed up big. LE only 2 td were on two one on one passes were the CB got burned. Stump was really trying to us his arm but maybe that BIG Hump in the middle of the field was putting him off. He showed what he cold do on 4th and inches and he ran it all the way down the the 5 yard line. Good game
