Polls say Cowboys by 6. I agree. I think they get season win No. 1 by 7-10 pts or more.

If they fool around and lose this one, I think the players and coaches will need asbestos underwear to protect them from Jerry Jones.

I seriously doubt it's because "everyone will watch the Cowboys"...probably has a lot more to do w/ the fact that you're much closer to Houston than to Dallas.

I'm just sayin.

But they only don't show the cowboys when the texans are home. And usually they play at different times I only miss about 2 games a year due to this issue

My understanding is that when a team is playing on one network, that there is to be no other NFL game on at that time in the teams home market. I don't think Houston is unusual in that regard.

For instance, if the Rams were on Fox and Chiefs were on CBS, both playing at noon, not only would the Rams game not be on Fox in the Kansas City market, but neither would any other game. The Fox affiliate would be forced to air "Cops" or something similar for 3 hours and then show the 3pm game.

Cowboys 13-7 at the half. Cowboys "O" looks like they are seeing the playbook for the first time---players running all over on formations not knowing where to be. Romo looks off-target on throws. Thanks to great RAC by Miles Austin, they lead at the half. They are going to have to play better to beat the good teams. Go 'Pokes!

They are playing probably the worst pass defense in the league who also lost their defensive coordinator in the off season, who by the way was considered one of the best in the league.. Don't get too excited the Cowpies still suck..

The Panthers only scored 10 points thanks to an Eagles defense that allowed under 150 yards of total offense and forced 5 turnovers.. But yea allowing 450 yards to Tampa Bay and letting them hang with you the entire game is really impressive by the cowgirls:devil:

Now , Now , Now. You guys quit ragging on Keith. He is a loyal supporter of the Eagles and is entitled to his opinion--no matter how crazy it may seem. He kinda reminds me of some other fans on this board that have chosen to make TT the next coming of the football Christ based on a year or two of results.

We need to all remember that the Eagles and Cowboys play twice a year every year and the battle can be solved on the field--if someone dosen't cry about injuries, bad calls, or other excuses why the team loses.

I was not that impressed with either the Cowboys or the Eagles this week.

LOL 38-10 against a team that was in the playoffs and 8-0 at home doesn't impress you?? I don't know what would..

And as for the person showing championships.. I see 3 for the Eagles and 5 for the cowpies based on your little chart so what's your point?? How about this fact.. Playoff games won in the last 14 seasons for the Cowboys: 0.. For the Eagles:10..

A very good point...10 playoff wins in 14 years...and no hardware to show for it, well one NFC championship trophy.

The eagles have been at for 27 years longer than the Cowboys yet the Cowboys have soooo many more titles and appearances than the eagles.

However, the eagles do have the most important win of both franchises right now...and that is the last win when the two teams last played each other and unfortunately for us Cowboys fans it was a straight whippin.

You hate the Cowboys. Bottom line. Why else would you blow up every thread about Dallas with phrases like cowpies and cowgirls? Your rhetoric is endless in that regard. I myself don't like the Eagles franchise because of the way their fans have always acted. The players are great, and some of them will end up in the HOF. The facilities are excellent and the ownership hires the same, edgy, questionable players the Cowboys do time to time. But I still do not like to see them win just because I don't want to see their fans smiling.

Makes you think. The Cowboys and Eagles are a lot alike in that regard. Both are teams you either love or hate. Both sign players of questionable character, but also have some great players that will never get the attention they deserve because of the divas on the sidelines and in the pressbox. Jerry Jones is a shameless exhibitionist, and Donavan McNabb is a momma's boy. Die hard Cowboys fans are annoying as hell, die hard Eagles fans are rude as hell. Think about it.:)

Navscanmaster,
If we weren't already kinfolk, I'd adopt you. I like that post and think you are certainly right about the Philly fans.

And, as for the earlier comments about the number of yards given up or points scored, it don't really make a rats a- - as long as one team scores one more point than the other does it. I still say neither the Cowboys or Eagles were very impressive this week and both better get better real soon or they will both be 1-1 after next week.

Keith is just like the Texas Tech fans, he can rag on everybody from other teams, but he never gives credit. The Cowboys are 1-0 right now just like the Eagles. After next week, he might be able to brag a little and have a reason if the Boys lose and the Eagles win, but we have to wait for the games to be played to determine who is the better team. If the Eagles win-I'll congratulate them, if they lose, I really don't care.

All i have to say is Delome from the panthers looked like a rookie. Basically handing the ball to the eagles. Now what makes good teams great is taking advantage of the opportunities which both the cowboys and the eagles did. We will see as the season goes on who is the better team. It looks to be a very competitive NFC east.

Last season the Cowboys showed indications of poor performances and a propensity for under-acheiving. The media, fans and anyone else with a brain saw it. When questioned about it, Wade Philips responsed pretty much like you have responded here. "It don't really make a rats a--, as long as we score more" is exactly the kind of attitude that will have us crying in our Cowboy Star cereal by about halfway through this season. (just like it has the previous dozen or so). I'm interested to see if Wade will once again defend the really, really, REALLY poor performance of his defense with a statement about winning the game or if he lives up to his promise of a "Change" in Dallas and acknowledge there is a problem that must be addressed and holds them accountable?
We are all very, very fortunate they were playing Tampa Bay or this game is out of reach at halftime. Romo missed on so many third down conversion passes in the first half that I was about ready to turn off the game. Any team other than the lowly Bucs and the Cowboys are down by 17 at halftime and the second half isn't near as wide open and carefree. Romo looked like a world beater in the second half but against a GOOD team he doesn't get that chance because of his first half perfomance. They better work this out before next week or the Giants will pound them good.

i don't really know where to start with how poorly our defense looked yesterday, and our offense looked pretty sub-standard too. if flozell adams commits another retarded penalty i think i'm going to throw a rock at my tv. the guys commentating the game yesterday mentioned, after flozell had committed a stupid personal foul, that he was the most penalized player in the league in the last 2 years. i'm pretty sure that stat includes albert haynesworth...wow.

You're never gonna believe this...

but I agree 100%. Offense was sloppy first half, Romo just wasn't polished, and Flozell is still doing too many penalties. The bucs are a team still trying to understand their defense and it made our WRs look much better than they are, and we didn't throw one solid pass across the middle that was worth anything. If we want Roy to be the stud that everyone wants him to be, he's got to do more than catch quick outs and bust seam coverages and go across the middle - that's what made TO so dangerous. Secondary looked confused most of the time, and Ware may not be 100% after that tweak in the game. Lots of things to improve on. A wins a win, but they have some things to fix this week.
