just tied Gehrig.

What a stud. Oh, and Houston/Rice product Neiman is dealing a gem for the Rays, he could very well get rookie of the year in the AL.

Count me as one Red Sox fan who has all the respect in the world for Jeter. Great ballplayer and a ton of great character.

Nothing but good wishes for him, (other than during head to head games!)

Jeter is the most overrated player in the history of the game and probably juiced along side there rest of his buddies in the AL East

I'm not a Yankee fan or a Jeter fan but you do know that he is most likely going to go over 3k hits early in the 2011 season. He has 2721 right now. There are only 27 players in the history of baseball to have 3k or more hits. Some names on that list are Craig Biggio, Tony Qwynn, Cal Ripken Jr., Paul Molitor, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Ty Cobb, George Brett, Ricky Henderson, Rod Carew, Wade Boggs, and Pete Rose. 3k hit club is a virtual ticket into the Hall of Fame. He will most likely end up around 3500-4000.

You're right, being Rookie of the Year and winning the World Series in your first year is overrated. Or having as many rings as Ruth. Or having MORE HITS THAN ANY OTHER SHORTSTOP IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME. Or more hits than any other Yankee, or 3 gold gloves.

That must mean that all the people voting for him in those, or all those wins are just a coincidence. Or, maybe...And I'm going out on a limb here....you're wrong and don't have a clue what you are talking about.
