Edna's DJ Yendrey has made the travel team at TCU as a true freshman. He is listed on the depth chart as the back up DT. Watch for #55 this Sat at Virginia.

Good to see local boys doing good at the next level. I was shocked to see how fast he was last year at the district track meet. He ran the fastest 100m dash in Edna I heard last year.

He was second in the shot put at state behind Hayden Baillio last year. I have never seen a big man like that run the 100 meters that fast. He went to regionals and made the finals. Dude can scoot.

Young man is very humble and does not like a lot of hype around him. He is a class act and works very hard for what he gets. He is one of those few athletes that are gifted with size and speed which makes him very versatile on the football field. I wish him all the best at TCU.
