I think it floored a lot of people. Either Jasper is a LOT better than expected or Silsbee is a LOT worse than expected judging from the following.

Jasper 31, Kirbyville 22
Kirbyville 62, Diboll 20
Diboll 49, Silsbee 35

WO-S plays Kirbyville in Week 2, Jasper in Week 3 and Silsbee in Week 6.

Jasper plays Silsbee in Week 5 and Diboll in Week 6

The outcome of those games should reveal a lot about all teams involved.

That would entail Silsbee losing to WO-S in addition to TWO of the following (although I suppose there could possibly be a 3-way tie in which Silsbee loses out): Hardin-Jefferson, Hamshire-Fannett or Orangefield, AS WELL AS Bridge City not making the playoffs.

WO-S is 3rd in enrollment in 21-3A behind Silsbee and Bridge City.

I don't see that happening.

It looks to me like we're headed for a Gilmer-WOS rematch. Chapel Hill is going to be 17-3A big school, after all.

Don't know about any finals, or even the second round, but for sure if Jasper makes the playoffs, it will be in the D1 bracket. :)
