I don't like to see anyone get hurt....but I sure would like to see BYU put OU away or at least keep it close. I despise Stoops and how he likes to run the score up......GO BYU!!

What goes around comes around. OU has Tulsa in 2 weeks and Miami in 3 weeks. Tulsa looked real good yesterday. Its not gonna get easier.

Depending on Bradfords injury, his Heisman hopes could be damaged also.

Glad you all like seeing Stoops get beat. After all, he is by far the best coach in the Big 12.

I heard a rumor about a rumor floating around on the Oklahoma message boards that its a torn rotator cuff.

How do you back up that statement? He runs up the score, whins and sulks when things dont go his way and his teams have choked in big games since his brother left his staff.

How do you figure? At least Texas is able to win bowl games. What has he done?

That is just my opinion but you name another coach in the Big 12 conference that has won as many Big 12 Championships as he has. I understand he has lost some bowl games lately, but the championships speak for themselves.

He has a point....

1996 Texas 6-2
1997 Nebraska 8-0
1998 Texas A&M 7-1
1999 Nebraska 7-1
2000 Oklahoma 8-0
2001 Colorado 7-1
2002 Oklahoma 6-2
2003 Kansas St. 6-2
2004 Oklahoma 8-0
2005 Texas 8-0
2006 Oklahoma 7-1
2007 Oklahoma 6-2
2008 Oklahoma 7-1

Look, not everyone is down on Stoops, but last year was a product of running up the score on lesser teams, period. If Mack Brown, and this is just my opinion, had not shown such class in pulling his starters down the stretch, then the 'Horns would have finished higher in the polls and Texas would have had cake in the Big 12 Championship Game.

Last year we did NOT run up the score intentionally. ALL of the touchdowns we scored in the fourth quarter last year except one were on runs. The one exception was against OSU when it was 44-41 OU winning. All the running touchdowns except for one were scored by Mosis Madu who is the third string running back. Sorry that he wanted to score a touchdown and didn't just run into the line and fall down. Lots of points≠running up the score. Your prejudice against OU blinds you. Get your facts straight.

Scoring 21 in the 4th on MIZZOU in the Big 12 Title game when leading going into the 4th 41-14 is not running up the score?

After losing to Texas last year OU won seven straight by a combined score of 419 to 205

Against OSU all OK had to do was run out the clock with a couple of QB fall downs. It is like BYU who almost got a td and right afterward simple feel on the ball rather than trying for another score.
I remember Coach Brown against Colorado actually call time out and tie his QB's hands when UT was threatening to go down the field and get another td.

Not when you are continuously running the ball! Not our problem if we just run and Mizzou can't tackle us. Like anyone in their right mind as a college third string player would break one and just fall down. Gimme a break!

And you saw the offense last year. Sorry we scored a lot of points.

Sorry that we chose to run between the tackles to burn clock. I would hardly call that TRYING to score.

It's just to bad OU can't borrow some of those points from last year for this year. They are sure gonna need 'em.

My thinking is, what goes around come around!! I'm sure teams are gonna try to run it up on OU this year.

In but not throwing. And actually Halzle was in practically the entire fourth quarter of every game except Texas and OSU since they were close or we were losing.

If anybody can run it up on OU so be it. It has happened before. USC did it. Just dont think Texas is good enough to do it.

I have seen Texas take numerous 5 yard penalties in order to keep from scoring on an opponent when the game was already over. They don't run up the score and it cost them last year. That's okay though. That's the way they play and I'm glad they play the game that way.

What cost them last year was an extremely weak non-conference schedule. Same thing could happen this year. Hope it doesnt. They need to hope that no more than two teams go undefeated with Texas being one of them. If they are one of three or more undefeated teams, they will probably be left out again.
