Rockdale 7, Lampasas 6 Final

[BIG BLUE DEFENSIVE END]

This was a really close game, closer than many, including myself, anticipated. Lampasas played tough football and Rockdale's passing game was very ineffective. Defensively we looked OK. Tigers have a lot to work with but still have a lot of work to do.

yeah, very surprised that there was only 13 combined points in this one. Wasn't that last touchdown for the tigers scored late in the 4th?

About 7 or 8 minutes left in the game when we finally got into the endzone . We were very fortunate to sneak away with a win tonight.Lampasas played hard tonight they are much improved over last year

My thoughts


- Lampases came to play
- Rockdale missed A LOT of opportunities including a wide open touchdown pass that was dropped
- Passing game was off


Positives from the game:

- Rockdale has a better understanding of what they will need to work on
- Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes tonight which will build for a good season

Better now than in district play. I had a feeling Rockdale would come out a bit too cocky. On the bright side they pulled out a win and played till the end to do it. GO TIGERS!!

I simply can not believe Rockdale only scored 7 points after what I saw the week before. Was it a really sloppy field?
