Dodge looked good. Couple of bad decisions but he showed that he can run and his release is so quick that they will have to respect his arm. I think that he was 23-33-1 for over 200 yards passing. Great first DI start for him.

Yes, 300+ rushing yards is right. Dodge ran for something like 70 and Cam Montgomery had over 150 with two other backs contributing.

The defense that they lined up last night had little resemblance to last year's D. The JC guys that they brought in played well and so did a couple of the freshman. Some guys that started last year never got on the field last night.

He had a great night, he threw for 216yds, 1 TD, he had 1 picked.
He also ran for 65.

Ball State is awful this year. That said, UNT dominated them. They left a lot of points on the table.

I think 6-6 is do-able for UNT, and probably better. Besides the money game at Bama in 2 weeks, I figured Troy is going to be their toughest game. But Troy lost to Bowling Green last night.

I think they could be going to Arkansas State at the end of the year with a NOB berth on the line.

I have no real affiliation with UNT, but I was excited to see them get a win in their opener.

I hope UNT has a great season.

Univ. of N. TX teams are commonly called the mean green. One of their alumni George Dunham (The Tickets own) coined the phrase "do you believe in the mean green" a play on an old brodcaster...also bennys picture is of Joe "Mean" Greene who went on to play for the steelers.
