Anyone know the rules of kids that transfer to another school to play ball. Reading article about the UIL denying a player from playing because he moved for atheletic reasons..how is that determined when so many kids do it?

UIL has a web site and all of the trasfer rules are on there. Brownwood and Early posters had that page bookmarked last year and pretty much memorized!

It is a little difficult to find on there site but it is there

when an athlete leaves one school to go to another a PAPF form must be filled out on the transferring athlete and must be signed by the coach of the school he is leaving. There is a box that has to be checked yes or no and it says something like "To your full knowledge is this athlete transferring or moving for athletic reasons?" If checked yes then the PAPF must go before a District Executive Committe (DEC) and voted on. If the student is denied then it will go to UIL and the UIL will investigate and make their judgement

Your coach said "yes". Whitney and Hillsboro voted for 2 years . the rest just one year. UIL said one year.

Too bad for Whitney and Hillsboro's JV.

He could be playing varsity ball this year, hope he likes playing with the little boys instead. Why would someone give up varsity to play JV when they would have been a three year varsity starter at original school.
