The Region II page has been updated!

Week 1 Game of the Week
#6 Dallas Madison (1-0) vs. #8 Kennedale (1-0)

Week 1 Pick 'Em
#6 Dallas Madison (1-0) vs. #8 Kennedale (1-0)
#17 Farmersville @ #3 Prosper
#7 Argyle vs. Burkburnett
#11 Kaufman vs. Tyler Chapel Hill
#5 Texarkana Liberty Eylau @ Mount Pleasant

News and Notes Week 1:
It seems Texarkana is looking good at the 3A level to start this season.
Liberty-Eylau made some noise with a 28-0 shutout of Paris North Lamar to start the season. Pleasant Grove dominated 4A Pine Tree 47-0; this after a 14-13 game last year.
Celina retains the #1 slot after a strong defensive performance against Ferris, which scored with two minutes left in the game.
Paris acquitted itself quite well against 4A Sulphur Springs, the defending 4A DII State Champion, 33-21.
Van beat up on Grand Saline 53-12, and Alvarado lost round two at '08 4A semifinalist Hewitt Midway 27-7.
Lucas Lovejoy beat Sanger 16-7, avenging last years's 42-20 loss-This was the game of the week. This week's GOTW is a third meeting since the start of last season between Dallas Madison and Kennedale, of which Kennedale has won both closely. Week 1 should be an exciting one, but most of the bigger matchups from Region II will be later on in the season.

I'd love to play them! And if we should win (who am I kidding?), I would love to hear about the 09 Celina team being worse than the 03 Celina team!:D

The 09 team has all the right players to be one of the best Celina has had, but it comes down to how wil they gell with each other.

I love this team, and obviously hope they will do very well, and I absolutely believe they have the talent to make a very good run at the title again. That said OM, I believe you are forgetting about some of the other teams that have come through Celina.

Im not saying this is the best team, but could be one of the best if they gell together.

You could say the same thing about Brownwood, for that matter :)

Hopefully TPG will meet us again-they look like they will be good

I wouldn't mind seeing Gilmer again--how about pre-district

;)
