The Sealy Tigers showed their arsenal of offensive weapons last night at Houston Second Baptist. After a brief thunderstorm and a threat of cancellation due to lightning all night long .The Tigers showed they can score points from both sides of the ball.
Dexter Downey scored on a pick six, and from his RB position for a total of three TD's
Freshman Davis showed he belongs on the Varsity with a good showing his first game. Jr QB Cody Barrett look poised and comfortable calling signals, with the no huddle offense and plenty of weapons on hand, this will be a high scoring Tiger team. The Tiger defense shut down one of the best QB's in the state in Connor Wood. Speed and gang tackling was obvious last night. D25 will be a tough district again with 4 of 5 winning last night.

Very good start for the Tigers. A great deal of hype on Woods and the Eagles all week did not materialize. The Tigers showed up with desire and something to prove. Way to many Tiger penalties and opening game jitters gave way to a very impressive showing in all aspects of the '09-'10 Tigers after they got settled in.
The defense appeared aggressive and ready to swarm to everything the Eagles presented. Hundel, Andre' Downey and Mitchell anchor a salty quick unit. Secondary delivered some impressive hits after the catch. Our
offense is significantly different with a no huddle, wide open look featuring a very impressive running game with Downey, Davis and Cooper mixing playing time. The running game is balanced this season by the Tiger's spread look featuring two speedy sure handed receivers in Miller and Hamner who both looked comfortable in the receiving chores. The special teams and kicking game with Luna make the Tigers something to watch. This district looks chalked full of talent and should be one of the strongest in the state. Makes for some interesting Friday nights in central Texas.

Not very well, compared to the pre-game hype. Threw the ball a lot, but his team got beat by 40.

Coach Mitchell has it going on. Ya'll were crying and moaning last year. Ya'll wanted him fired. I told you he was good. We might be undefeated going into District. Well I forgot about Rice. Ike saved our beehinds last year. Coach Mitchell will have them ready. Go Tigers

We know he's bald and has a "Grace" but he'd also have to wear flowing robes to be considered "striking"... By the Lama's standards anyways.
