FAIRFIELD - Brian Bell passed for 458 yards and seven touchdowns as the Cougars jumped out to a 45-7 lead in the first half and coasted to a season-opening victory on the road.
Bell had five touchdown passes by halftime, hitting Zach Hogan and Dylan Dumas twice each and capping the first-half scoring with a 17-yard toss to Reece Meador.
Dumas led all receivers with nine catches for 165 yards, scoring on identical 18-yard receptions in the first quarter. Meador finished with three TD catches, while Michael Armstrong had 38 yards rushing and one TD on just three carries.
The Cougars finished the scoring for the night on a 24-yard pass from Collin Wood to Mason George late in the third quarter.
