Junior Varstiy defense is pretty good along with a pretty quick offense.

thought about making the trek to Waco but I think I'm gonna catch up on time w/ my kitchen and clean it up real good and listen to the game on 105.1 FM. somebody finally stops the insanity. Cameron gets an interception and driving on short field. This would put them up two scores....we'll see what happens....

Good 2nd half. Everything needs work though. 1 Cadet TD was on a kickoff, another was on a 70+ yard fumble return. Decent showing by the defense to only allow 2 scores but they'll have to get better to compete in district. Offense got it going finally so hopefully that first half stuff was just 1st game jitters. Cadets have some beast players though, will be interesting to see how their season unfolds under their 1st year head coach.....

Cameron definately pushed Connally around tonight, very good football team in the Yoe. They will have a great season, Wells is a mad man...wow..very impressed with his speed and moves. Connally will get better and played well at times, learning the offense still, i think our backs are a bit ahead of our QB, he is a bit slow at getting the ball to them, but they did show good signs of things to come, good luck to the Yoemen, they will be awesome this year.

This game started out very bad for the Yoemen by going down 14-3 and looking kinda horrid, but they were able to settle it down and finally start playing some sound, fundamental football. Defense was looking pretty good in this game (2 scores came off of an offensive fumble and a special teams run back) and will improve over time. Wells did a lot of the work in the second half with very quick moves and timing. The biggest thing the Yoe need to work on is special teams in my mind. They gave up a run-back, and every kick after that we gave it to them at like the 40 or 45.

The cadets did have promising moments in the game. Basically all they do is run which was expected. They will try to pass about 3 or 4 times with a long route pretty much down the middle. I think for Connally to have a good year they may need to institute more of a passing game unless they can get it down like Caldwell kind of had going last year.
