I will be posting state-wide scores in this thread once the games begin. We will have Downlow members at games and they will be texting me here to post scores immediately.

Please do me a favor and let's reserve this thread just for scores please..that way, they should be easier to read. Also, if you are going to a game and want to text me your scores, please PM me and I will give you my number. Thanks alot, and let's hope this works and folks enjoy the updates.

4:15 remaining in the 3rd. Ferris stil does not have a first down in the 2nd half. Their defense has been decent, but the offense has next to nothing. Celina has passed far more than their normal game, with not much luck. If not for that, it would be even uglier.

Celina has been just abusing them with that 10-1. Seems like they spend almost as much time in Ferris' backfield as Ferris does. Ferris runs a wishbone, but not successfully.

(Sorry for the earlier Pecos confusion, we had just been talking about the Pecos scrimmage and that's what I typed!!)

Greenwood had a touchdown called back on an inadvertent whistle...the crowd was NOT happy.

Defense looked good....had a couple of interceptions and a couple of fumble recoveries.

Offense started picking up after a shaky start.

Greenwood played lights out the second half....got hurt by some pretty good penalties, but all in all, I was pleased with what I saw.

FS quarterback is pretty slippery, the GW defense contained him pretty well in the second half.

Thank God football season is finally here!!!

The o was not that bad. Some miscues that thru off the timing and some mental mistakes. Reminded me of the d'field game last year. I would say overall the O is ahead of last years team.
The D was really good. 71 total yards from Ferris with most iin the fourth while Coach was practicing the team. For the first game not bad. It is correctable on the o. 360 yards of O with about 280 rushing.
