This is a great movie with James Stewart. It is in several parts but you can watch it by going to youtube and in search type in the rope part 1. It is in color.

Before you start watching at part 1 to get an even better feel for the movie go to search on youtube type in the words the rope trailer. To avoid spoiler hints I recommend that you just watch the trailer for about the first 1min25secs and then stop it and then go to the movie.
