I will be pulling for Wharton and D26...but....

Rice is coming off of a 12-1 state semi run in 2A (Div. 1)

They are ranked # 6 in 2A by Dave Campbell's magazine.

They return a QB that threw for over 2000yds and 31TDs last year.

I believe Rice will be too much for the Tigers.

They moved Bay City-Jack Yates game on Sept. 5 from Delmar to Barnett this week

I like Stacey Hunt and I like the attidues I see on the team. They are disciplined and play fundamental football. I think that the game will be much closer than people think. The tigers are hungry and ready to start this season off right.

At least Bay City games start at 7 p.m. so that lets me get out early

No more holding the paper for Saturday but have to work Saturday morning to get Sunday Tribune out

To bad they called the game. I have a pretty good feeling that Wharton was just getting started!! It was 12-14 at the half when they called it .... neither team gets the win. Would have really liked to have seen this play out ..... :)

Rice is always slow to start. 2 ints on their 20. would not have happened in the second half. probably would not have been to interesting. I just hope that they don't kick the crap out of my Tiger team when they play us. Ike saved our behinds last year. But Coach Mitchell has got them going. I told ya'll. You would not believe me. I told you that Coach Mitchell had it going on. Ya'll wanted him fired. Well would you like a little catsup with that crow. Speaking of Crow where is he. Go Tigers
