Bridgeport according to NBC news ...

Two cross country girls were caught in the collapse of a building facade while on a training run.

One girl was killed and the other is apparently severly injured.

Events such as this put our lives into perspective. That two young girls left home this morning without a care in the world and now 1 life has ended and another will never be the same. My thoughts and prayers are with the families. God bless all affected by this tragedy.

Unbelievable. God Bless and Prayers from the clan. My wife could not believe it. One of our daughters ran track and all three run. I could not imagine losing them.

Thank you all for your prayers and expressions of concern for this family and our town. Our whole town was shocked and saddened by this tragic accident. Another young and bright life cut tragically short. I am thankful for the life of this beautiful young lady and wish the other young lady a swift, and complete recovery.

I once again reflect on the fragility of life, and live one day at a time, and am thankful to the Lord for every one I am given. God Bless these families.

May God be with all of you who grieve the loss of this beautiful life. Let's all remember how quickly our lives can change and our happiness be snuffed out in a moment.

We have heard so many tragedies in the Downlow just since I joined in May. I pray that God will keep each and everyone of you and your loved ones safe and healthy.

The timing of this tragedy is mindboggling. Had those girls been 20 seconds ahead or behind, it just falls on the sidewalk.

unbelievable.
