View Full Version : Cuero vs 4A Beeville

Cuero Travels to Beeville to take on the Trojans. Cuero won 46-14 last year and leads the series 28-20-3.
Both teams lost a lot last year. Cuero returns Qb Tyler Arndt and Soph. Rb Trent Jackson. Gobblers are pretty young on defense and the offensive line. Should be a good game.

Your thoughts:)

Cuero by a lot. :(

Arndt is throwing better than I have ever seen him throw. Absolute laser beams. Trent Jackson looks to be 3" taller and 30 lbs. heavier and one or two tenths faster. Great vision and awfully tough to bring down. Hard to believe he is only a sophomore.

With that being said, we have a young secondary and a line that has never played together on either side of the ball. I don't think this will be a blowout. Look for a closer game than you would expect. Cuero by 7.

Beeville won't be a passing threat so the secondary shouldn't be tested much. Our o-line features five new starters, including a sophomore at right tackle. We've got a sophomore taking over under center. The running backs returning are solid, but the line is still a concern. The defense is small and quick, but Cuero will still have a definitive edge with their speed. This game should serve as a learning experience for our young team.

Beeville's younger, methinks. Returning 3 on offense and 2 on defense.

By the way Blastoderm, I checked out your wedding website. You kind of outkicked your coverage with your new wife. Very good looking couple.

Thought the Gobs looked good in scrimmage. Was glad to see that since we have so much youth. Go Mean Green! Hey, any restaurant suggestions for Beeville? Always an important detail.:D

There's Anthony's BBQ and Chili's near the stadium if you're looking to sit down and eat, along with some taquerias. If you drive down business 181 a ways, there's a new restaurant called The Cistern. Decent food, but pricier than anywhere else in town.

They have a little of everything and a good grilled Rib-eye.
