How many of these quotes will we hear this season?

1) "The refs blew that call"
2) "I don't know what the coach was thinking"
3) "We didn't play well" or "We didn't play up to our potential"

Answers:
1) Join TASO because they are always looking for officials. Nobody calls a perfect game...... Nobody.
2) It's always easy to second guess playcalling or defensive schemes after the game. Get over it. Coaches have a tough job, and it's usually the Jimmy's and Joe's not the X's and O's that decide a game.
3) Again, it's the Jimmy's and Joe's that play the game. The are young, and they are gonna make mistakes. Teams that go 16-0 have a magical season. If the kids are playing hard every minute, give them some credit.

I never ever want to hear that one team "just wanted it worse than the other team". You don't know that. It is a cliche statement that means absolutely nothing. Football is a game of skill and breaks at the right time.

I hate to bring up '04 Wylie but I remember some poster that year that said they just wanted it worse than Cuero. I have never heard a more ridiculous statement in all of my life.

Exactly. Holding can be called on every play and the refs will make mistakes every game (just sad when horrible calls really sway a game). Hindsight is always 20/20 on a play call.
