#1 Celina plays Ferris, which lost the tie-breaker a year ago to finish in fourth place in 12-3A to Alvarado.
Pick: Celina, 47-14

#2 Van plays 2A Grand Saline, a team they shouldn't have any trouble beating again, as they look to replicate or improve upon their 9-1 regular season record a year ago.
Pick: Van, 35-7

#3 Prosper, coming off a State Championship, plays 2A Queen City, a team they beat 59-0 last year. Although their offense is a little green, they should roll.
Pick: Prosper, 42-6

#4 Alvarado (see GotW additional info)
Pick: Alvarado, 21-19

#5 Argyle plays Iowa Park, anchor man in their midwest district last year. IP should be better, but Argyle still has QB Hedlund and more besides.
Pick: Argyle, 31-14

#6 Dallas Madison plays Decatur, a team they lost 45-42 to a year ago. Decatur isn't quite as good, and Madison's defense is better.
Pick: Madison, 35-24

#7 Paris plays defending 4A champion Sulphur Springs in a game Paris lost by three touchdowns last year. Paris is better, Sulphur Springs isn't quite as good without Tyrik Rollison, but still good enough to put Paris to work.
Pick: Sulphur Springs, 38-28

#8 Kennedale plays Dallas Seagoville, a team they beat last season, and given the returning experience, a team Kennedale should beat again.
Pick: Kennedale, 35-10

#9 Carrollton Ranchview plays Gainesville. Gainesville has been a non-factor since their last title game appearance in 05, and is still working its way back up. Ranchview won a close one last year en route to a 7-4 record, and this year should be at least equivalent to that-but i think better.
Pick: Ranchview, 33-21

#10 Pittsburg plays 2A Jefferson. Last year this game was 7-6; this year should be a little bit less.
Pick: Pittsburg 17-10

#14 Texarkana Liberty-Eylau plays Paris North Lamar. Last year was a good game that 4-6 TLE won; this year, TLE should roll as they make their way back to the cream of the region.

#19 Sanger vs. #13 Lucas Lovejoy - I'll take Sanger in this one.

#21 Paris North Lamar vs. #14 Texarkana Liberty-Eylau - I'll take Liberty-Eylau.

#10 Pittsburg @ (2A) Jefferson - I'll take Pittsburg in a close one.

#11 Texarkana Pleasant Grove @ Longview Pine Tree - I'll take Pleasant Grove in a close one.

#4 Alvarado @ (4A) AP#8 Hewitt Midway - I look for Alvarado to beat them again.

Would not be surprised to see Paris upset Sulphur Springs. SS the favorite though for sure. Paris has the talent to shake things up in Reg.II.

I hear Jefferson has a good team this year. I'll take Jefferson over Pittsburg.

TLE is a little underrated in my eyes. I think they will move up quickly.

It'll be interesting to see how good Lovejoy is this year.

Longview Pine Tree/PG could go either way.
