Will it be a decent game?

Going to be tough. Nederland looks better than last year and will be good in 4A this season. It will all depend on the injury situation for WO-S, WO-S is hurting on the OL right now due to injuries.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to post on this?

I think this will be a tough game, Nederland has all those good receivers and a proven QB, but we don't know how good the defense is or the offensive line is.

As for WOS, after 2 scrimmages I really don't know how good they are. The defense looked good against the spread of Dayton (which is what Nederland runs), but got knocked around a bit with Vidors Wing-T. The offense is hard to tell how good they are because they have only run about 4 plays in the scrims and have not got Franks or Haynes involved in the offense yet. My gut tells me that the defense will be pretty good, even though they had a bad showing against Vidor simply because you have to prepare to stop the Wing-T and that wasn't the focus. Hell, they tied us last year and that defense was very good. Besides, the spread plays into our strength (speed).

Our offense may be a little slow starting, especially in the first few games due to injuries on the O-line and one transfer who can't play varsity for 15 days.

This could be a low scoring game.

Taking in mind of all the injuries that the Stangs have, I am going with Nederland in this one. Of course, I guess Nederland could have some injuries also, I don't know.

Nederland 21
WOS 20

All is well, but you need to back off of 87.

Pancake, you got your warning from RM. You should probably let him be. BTW, what team in SETX do you support?

Extremely astute question you posed there WOS1. Could there be a Silsbee Class of '82 Reunion involved between two people contributing to this thread? Coincidence? I think it would be a quite amazing one given that Silsbee is not involved at all in the topic of the thread.

I know I am a '82 graduate of Silsbee, who would be the other one?

Orange received about 2 1/4 inches of rain yesterday and more rain likely today and tomorrow..you might want to bring your umbrella.

Yeah, the weather don't look good.Played a game a couple of years ago at LCM under the same conditions.WO-S should have creamed them but with all the rain and mud it took away all the strong points that make up a team.We finaly scored with just seconds left. That stuff can really be an equalizer.
