What was the final score when Gilmer and Celina played?

Who were stand out players from that game?

Was Celina 2a?

I left in the third quarter at 31-0 Gilmer. But I've heard that was the worst team Celina has ever had!

Area round of the 3A Division II playoffs in Richardson.

Stand out player? Are you kidding? Manny Johnson was unstoppable.

Final score was 45-22.

Celina lost to Gilmer 45-22 in the area round in 2003.

Gilmer was a quarterfinalist that season, losing to Atlanta i believe. I know they won state the next season.

Gainesville was the other loss for Celina that season, 44-14. Gainesville won the D1 title that year.

Celina had John Clark at QB and Jacob Martin at running back, but both lines and the defense were not great (16.9 ppg allowed, worst since at least 1987). It was by no means the worst team the Bobcats have ever had, but it was the statisticly worst team in our current run.

Only 13 teams scored more than 24 points against Celina from 1995-2008, including both of those in 2003 and 3 times last year. No other season had more than 1, and only 5 times in 21 seasons from 1988 did Celina allow more than 12 ppg.

While Gilmer and Gainesville were considerably better than Celina that season, being so incredibly one sided (the Bobcat passing offense was quite weak in comparison to other seasons, with Clark being injured part of the season) made the offense way more predictable, as anyone who watched the Gainesville game in particular can attest to. Even if the game was closer, though, it was obvious Gilmer was going places.

Manuel Johnson was rediculous, and he just so happened to switch to QB the next season and pass for 4500+ yards

I have only seen gilmer in person once, but they were pretty darn good and i can only imagine that they are going to be rediculously good this season
