I think OU's jersey's were throwbacks or an alternate.

Marlin Fan, Coach Stoops was emulating the type of jersey worn in the 1950's when the successful and famous Bud Wilkinson was at the helm for the Sooners. The O.U. AD was also on the sidelines dressed in a 1950's style suit and tie and was wearing the same type of hat that Coach Wilkinson was known to wear at every game.
