in Little League World Series!!

The kids are on a roll!!

Southwest 12, Great Lakes 0

Interesting story on the Great Lakes team (Kentucky)...they only had 12 kids on their team and the league they played in had 3 teams and 30 something players....total!!!

WOW, they made a heck of a run for no more kids that they had to work with.

Congrats to San Antonio.......keep on winning!

I think California is on the horizon in their pool play.

I watched it (partially) on ABC...and then got the final score from a website.

The story was told by the announcers during the game.

California is the best team I have seen play this year. Their game against S. A. will be a fun one to watch.

Texas shuts out Kentucky, 12-0, at Little League World Series

Associated Press

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Nicholas Smisek hit a grand slam and Steven Cardone added a three-run homer to help San Antonio, Texas, score 12 runs in the third inning Sunday and beat Russellville, Ky., 12-0 at the Little League World Series.

Drew Brooks doubled to start the outburst and advanced to third on an error. John Shull followed with an RBI single for a 1-0 lead. Later, Smisek greeted reliever Zach Denney with a grand slam just inside the left-field foul pole for an 8-0 lead.

Smisek was questionable for the game after getting sick Friday night

Kentucky tried to rally in the first when Barrett Croslin and Caleb Brunner each singled and an error loaded the bases. Shull got a groundout to end the threat.

The game ended after four innings because of the 10-run rule.
