New Pics of Wylie's Bulldog Stadium [Archive]

We took arial PICS of Wylie's completed stadium this morning.

Now if someone will PM me how to post them on here, I'd love to share them with everyone. :thinking:

Would one of you Wylie gazillionairs please fly over the Mustang Bowl and take a few shots? We tried duct taping a Polaroid to the bottom of an ultralite we built in wood shop, but it didn’t work out too well. The coat hanger we rigged up to push the button, came loose, got into the prop, then we crashed into the tennis courts.
Now their asking for volunteers to be strapped face down to a crop-duster’s wheels to get some that way. But last time we tried that, I almost got killed by the scoreboard. So I'm advising against it this time around.

My brother Mike flew the plane this morning and I took the pics. Thanks for the compliments.

We will try to get over to Sweetwater and take pics of the Mustang Bowl. We'll have to find time when Mike isn't flying for his real job. Honestly, we would love to do it. Is it completed yet?

This gets me ready for next Friday night!!!! Good luck to everyone. It's gonna be another great year.

Not yet but it's close. It actually won't be completely uh...completed
until after this season is over. :(

Just out of curiosity, what was done this year and what will be done after the season?

Best way to describe it. The pine trees have been planted on the
inside of the fence though.

encircle the bowl. Right now they are gonna go with it only along
the front entrance.

You are correct! That is the best Stadium in this area. The posters I know from Sweetwater are great too!

I have no doubt that someone will correct me if this is not accurate, but I believe the seating capacity is 8,200 now. I think there were 900 seats added on the visitors side and 1288 added on the home side.

Thanks GP, you will not believe the difference in the look of the Bowl and I look forward to seeing the inside digs of Wylie's new press box.....even though I won't be up there very long!!!

That grass is amazing. I like how it stays green even in the summer. And it is so uniform in color. :D

It is a picture of the sticker all of the players playing in the Classic will wear on their helmets, in memory of Sammy Baugh's passing last December.

A permanent jersey will also be painted on the south end (old dressing rooms) and we plan on a short "unavailing" prior to each game.

The stadium looks great, my father works for the company that built the seating. I remember going up there a couple of times to take material to his workers.

This stadium looks really good, I hope all the wylie fans enjoy it.

Not trying to start anything here, but KTXS reported a few days ago something about the new seats that were added on the home side not meeting "specs" or something like that. What was the problem? Or is KTXS wrong?

Nice pics Garcia. We sure enjoyed our new comfortable purple seats! It is a completely new feel to the stadium; and what a great way to break it in! Hope we can keep it rolling next week at LH.

I agree with the great pics! We sure enjoyed our purple seats with the chair-backs. The only thing missing is a cup holder. I think I'll install one onto the seat in front of me before the next home game!
