Four out of the five #1's are East Texas

You're right, WOS87. There are only three 5A teams in East Texas in John Tyler, Tyler Lee, and Lufkin, so no real surprise there. Lufkin did break in at #11, though. East Texas is well represented in the polls. I hope we can live up to the hype.;)

Look's like Giddings vs. Bellville will be as big as last year.

Bellville & Giddings will be good. But just how good? Having both ranked ahead of Cuero and Wylie is a mystery to me. But, those are just rankings. Good luck to my friends over in Brahma Country. BTW, I can't wait to come to the Pasture of Pain on September 19th :D .

Cuero should be a force this year. Has the QB signed with anyone? Bellville/Sealy/Giddings/La Grange/Columbus district is the toughest in region 4 though.

I agree...By far the toughest in region 4 if not one of the toughest in the state.

I wonder if Rocket got to vote on this one? I see Brownwood got one vote! Maybe the voting people are just a little gun shy from last year!:D

I'm surprised Argyle didn't get any votes. They will be a handful for everyone they play — they get both Prosper and Celina at home.

Argyle plays a tough non-district schedule and if they go 5-0, they should be ranked by the time they play Prosper.

After last year, we shouldn't be ranked any higher (until we prove otherwise). We're just concerned with where we're ranked at the end of this season.
