is it worth it for the Rangers, won't retaliation get him tossed immediately? Then again, it is the "unwritten" rules of baseball, protect your players.

Tossed immediately and lately it's been 5 game suspensions.

First, with the count and situation I don't think Boston's pitcher was throwing at Kinsler, the pitch just got away. That situation does not call for retaliation under baseball's unwritten rules.

Second, if the Ranger's starter does retaliate and get tossed early in a very important game, someone made a stupid decision.
