Anybody drink rum here? I do not, but my boss just got promoted to partner in our consulting firm, and since he loves the stuff, I wanted to get him a good bottle of the stuff if there's a high end of it. I think he drinks mostly with coke. I'm completely clueless on this as I only drink scotch or gin.


Any help is much appreciated.

Just make sure the rum is from Puerto Rico..

Also need to find out if he drinks light or dark rum.

My suggestion?

Bacardi Light Rum

When I get rum drunk I go with Barcardi :D

For mixing with Coke: Bacardi is good and inexpensive

Drinking straight: A good spiced rum. example is Capt. Morgan.

Regular Rum: I'm a big fan of Pyrat Rum.

Spiced Rum: I love Sailor Jerry's, but Capt. Morgan's will do.

Any of the above mentionded will do. And they will all get the job done...if you know what I mean.

I go with Capt.Morgan for dark but prefer Barcardi for myself. You know..the little umbrella drinks:D
