The first recorded Voice was done on April 9, 1860 by Frenchman Scott de Martinville. See below. Scroll down to the the second page for the recordings. One is the original one that sounds like a little girl. However this is probably his own voice at twice normal speed because thanks to modern technology you can listen to the one below and hear his voice. This was recorded 17 years before Thomas Edison but Scott was unable to sell his invention. Interesting history and culture isn't it? Enjoy.
