Two things:

First -- how can you so consistently screw up the forecast high temperature? All summer if you say the high will be X, it winds up being X+5 or X+6. You could set your clocks to it. Today you called for 98 and it's already 103. So why not stop pretending we'll have highs in the upper 90s any time soon and just say 105 every day for a while? Why not just add 5-6 degrees to the forecast high and you'll nail it almost every day?

Secondly -- Would you please stop teasing us with these 30-40% chances of rain in the forecast that almost always fizzle out and stay to the north? Trust us: If you predict 0% every day, we would THANK you for being wrong.

Sincerely,

Central and South Texans

It just got done raining here...not much, but enough to settle the dust.

Second, you are right!

We're drinking dust these days. It's so dry that the county is considering a buyback program for water pistols...

Dear Ziggy,

1. Get a new thermometer.

2. Learn that a 30-40% forecast for rain means that 30-40% of the forecast area could see at least one drop of rain.

That is all.:D
