I f you are like me...when you fire up the pit, you wind up cooking WAY more than you eat at one sitting.

I tried a way to cook burgers and keep them "moist" for warming up later. It is real simple, but I thought I would share it.

In a bowl take 1 -2 pounds of lean hamburger meat, season to your taste and then add 1 can of Rotel Tomatoes (drain the liquid first). The burgers cook out and stay very moist!!!

I even added bacon pieces (the kind that is pre-cooked, not the old fashioned bacon bits) to the mix yesterday and made a very tasty "bacon" burger with a bit of a kick.

I think you will be surprised how moist they are when you warm them up (if you din't eat them alll at once!) !! I was and I normally don't care for "warmed up" leftovers!

Enjoy!!

There is a science to making and cooking burgers.
Getrdone...
you added basically water(rotel tomatoes) that helps to steam the burgers and keep it's shape. The rule is 1/4 cup water to 1 pound ground chuck, favorite spices and extra stuff for a great burger. The ground chuck has enough fat to incite the fire while the water creates steam to tenderize and protect the meat from flare-ups.
I have spent the last 17+ years perfecting my burger technique.:)
