I f you are like me...when you fire up the pit, you wind up cooking WAY more than you eat at one sitting.
I tried a way to cook burgers and keep them "moist" for warming up later. It is real simple, but I thought I would share it.
In a bowl take 1 -2 pounds of lean hamburger meat, season to your taste and then add 1 can of Rotel Tomatoes (drain the liquid first). The burgers cook out and stay very moist!!!
I even added bacon pieces (the kind that is pre-cooked, not the old fashioned bacon bits) to the mix yesterday and made a very tasty "bacon" burger with a bit of a kick.
I think you will be surprised how moist they are when you warm them up (if you din't eat them alll at once!) !! I was and I normally don't care for "warmed up" leftovers!
