Heartfelt donation: The officials, chain crew and timekeeper for Luling's game against Goliad last week donated their fees to the family of a cross-country runner who was killed while training.
Leo Morales, 14, was killed after being struck by an automobile on Oct. 11. Morales and nine teammates stopped to pray along the shoulder of U.S. 90 at about 7 a.m. when they were hit.
Brad Marcum, Kent Smith, Frank Bosmans, Carlos Tufino, Ralph Fritz, Freddy Thomas, Michael Schultes, Jerald Hardin and Alden Johnson donated their pay and mileage to the Morales family
