Remember that python a few years back in Florida that successfully killed an alligator, only when it tried to eat it, it literally bit off more than it could handle and the size of the gator 'exploded' the python?

That's the nature of Li-ion batteries. An English company I used to work for had problems with hooligans trying to charge the Li-ion with non-factory built chargers. The explosion was much larger than this one and "took out" much of the the passenger side of a pickup.
One that exploded in a garage in Cali was just as bad.
