With all of the new school's opening around the state, what part of Texas is seeing the biggest change in enrollment?

What school's will drop to 2A and which will drop from 4A to 3A?

Let's say the numbers are 490 - 990

How would this affect the current 3A District's?

North Forney is playing varsity in everything but football in 3A this year. Going to be very close on whether or not they stay 3A or go 4A.

Same for FHS, but since they have a full senior and JR class unlike NFHS(fr and so only) they should stay 4A.

It is hard to speculate because all we have are the previous numbers. The new numbers will be turned in in Oct. or Nov. some schools will gain kids some loose kids.

Cameron in 2a would be interesting. Pampa to 3a? Canyon back to 3a? Going to be a lot of coaching movement once realignment comes out.

I read where several of the current 4A Houston ISD schools could drop down to 3A.

Six schools

is brookshire population going to explode this alignment period?

six hisd teams hopefully will not influence shake ups in 26-3a.

although stafford being that far north of the others might be shifted.

One of the greatest things about reallignment is that any speculation of what will happen is just that, speculation. No one KNOWS anything yet. UIL doesn't KNOW what is going to happen yet. It's the world's biggest guessing game at one of today's best kept secrets. Gotta give it to the UIL for being very good at being very quiet until they actually relase the changes.

I think it's safe to say the UIL knows that Highland Park and Abilene Wylie will stay 4A and 3A

Lovejoy will go 4A for sure! You can bank on that! They already have 4A numbers and only played 3A since it was a first year varsity program! They will get slaughtered in 4A to boot!

HISD will likely have their own district....I wonder if Sealy moves over to 26-3A if Needville moves up...

It's possible since that is where they were before.

Celina will not go down over 500 students now.

As I've said a few times, Van Alstyne and Commerce should both go down to 2A. VA should slide back into the Gunter-Howe-Whitewright district, and Commerce and Farmersville would most likely fall in with Leonard, Honey Grove, Cooper and Caddo Mills.

I think Princeton and Prosper might just squeeze under the bar and stay 3A one more cycle. By 2012 they'll both be 4A for sure. Aubrey is a lock to go 3A.

I certainly have no idea how many folks are in Needville ISD - but I can tell you that in just 2009 - I've done quite a few insurance policies for people moving from Richmond/Roseburg area to Needville. Is there a big industry down there or are folks just getting further away from Houston? Oh, I know what it is - they heard about the excellent AD Needville has ;) ;) (Just for you coach)

I'm confused....why is it that we think Needville is moving up to 4A? Especially w/ the addition of the new HS going up out near the George Ranch inbetween Needville & Sugar Land/Richmond/Rosenberg.

Someone w/ some insight into this give a brotha a clue! :D

Some think Needville will move up to 4A because of peole leaving Richmond/Rosenberg but I think their number will be around 930. Just a guess.

Up in the panhandle Dumas, Pampa and Canyon all could move down. Dumas at a 1000, Canyon was at 990 at the end of last year and Pampa is closer to 900. Should be interesting

it is going to be a crap shoot on where the large growth takes place...

hwy 36 or the road that goes by George Ranch and brazos bend sp.

granted, lamar consol. must have predictions that it will go out towards George Ranch area.

Needville's big new school complex leads people to believe that needville is getting ready also.

Since the numbers to determine who goes where are not even determined until the October snapshot is taken, not even the UIL can tell you what is going to happen. It's not hard to keep a secret when there is no secret to keep. These numbers can change drastically from year to year.
