I've never understood how the school that is located the closest geographically to powerhouse Lufkin (they're less than 8 miles apart) can have one of the lowest all-time winning percentages in the state.

Did they only start playing football in 1982? I am not from the area and no familiar with them.

Yes, 1982 was their first varsity season ever. They lost 73 consecutive district games from 1992-2007 and have only won 5 TOTAL district games in their 27 year history.

UPDATE: The history has been updated through 2009. The all-time winning percentage dropped compared to the end of last season as difficult as that is to do.

scouted a game there once...fans were pretty hard on their own team...place cleared out after half time when the band was finished................poor team had first and goal from the two....ran four plays and did not score....diboll fumbles on first play on the one.........hunington runs four more plays no score......eight plays(pretty much in a row) from inside the two and could not get .

never forget the fans very friendly to us (we were scouting diboll for playoff matchup)....but man they were brutal on the team.
