Not sure? We have two teams up there in baseball Major & Junior.
I think the major plays at 6 pm and the Junior 13-14 play at 8pm.

That Major team is going to be hard to beat.
The 13-14 year old have a lot of players of that age that play on prime national teams, etc:. Our best two being Matt Menard who caught a lot as a HS Freshman and Cam Dishon who played a lot of CF as a Freshman. Those two play for the SETX Sundevils 16u, a hauss national level team. Our Uth are all playing ball but are spread around on a lot of assorted type teams.

We also have two Girls teams that are at the State Tourney in Sequin 10u and 12u in softball--I would not be at all surprised at seeing them both win state.

When your town has a third of all the teams up at these two events, they ought to come home with at least one State Champ team. LOL

To Sinton Fan in Austin & others:

Can you give us a run-down of who & how the Sinton Junior team made it to the playoffs? It will make the game more interesting to know a little about both teams.

Briefly, Bridge City Juniors have lost one game that I know of and that was 4-0 to Westend; thus throwing them into the losers bracket where Tomball was their only challenge---BC 4 TB 1 and BC 6 TB 0.
Thus, they climbed the hard way to again play Westend--two games to advance.

They promptly beat WE 9-0 & 17-3 to have the right to play Sinton at the event at Tyler. Hayden Guidry is a great pitcher and will be a Freshman at BC HS: probably as a JV pitcher this season.

Westend territory covers all of the west-side of Jefferson County(Greater Beaumont area) with a very large population to draw from. BC is a 3A small town that had 4200+ homes(14 did not flood) flooded by Hurricane IKE and most of our Uth have been living in FEMA trailers helping to restore their damaged homes.

It is phenomena to me that the resolve and fortitude of these Uth and parents to have FOUR teams at Seguin and Tyler to compete at these lofty levels.

Sinton enter the Texas East Section 4 tournament with a 6-1 record with their only loss to Rockport 6-5 which put Sinton in a position to go through the loser bracket in thier district tourney. Sinton came back and beat Rockport twice 7-1 behind thier ace pitcher and he'll be a freshman next year and 5-4 in championship game to advance that was delayed for about 30 mins on a play that eventually had half the city and county policemen at the park to calm down the crowd in bot of the 6th inning.

Sinton in their district tourney outscored opposition 76-18.

Sinton Junior league team farthest advancement in this tournament was losing in the SW Regional tournament championship game to Tampa Bay, Fla. as Tampa Bay came back and beat Sinton twice. some members of that team went on to be part of the back to back State champs in '88 and '89.

There is a limit of amount of pitches so it could come down to who has the better 3rd or 4th pitchers as i dont think either team would pitch tommorrow starting pitchers in this game.

I was a little shocked to see BCs Major team routed. They used 3 pitchers and all were throwing wild, I was told.
