Anybody know how to kill Bamboo?

Its pretty thick in the back corner of my yard. I chop it down weekly but have not found anything to kill it yet. It laughs at Roundup and thinks diesel is a fertilizer. any clues or should I just get in the business of making and selling cane polls?

Chop them down and then pull the roots up. The are very shallow and not real hard to pull up.

That is the only way to get rid of it....and you have to get ALL the roots and will invariably have some "sprouts" for the next couple of years that you have to remove immediately too.

After the atomic bomb in Hiroshima, the bamboo began growing back immediately...I don't think Roundup is gonna deter it.

I dont mind pulling them up but they come from the neighbors yard. I cant get in their and pull theirs up too,

Beast, I did delute the round up, but not much. I srpayed it on pretty strong.

Ewww!! Sounds like you may have to learn to live with Bamboo.....unless you dig way down and put some kind of metal shield in.
