Texasbob shows your stadium only holds 2,800... I've never been to it, but on Texasbob it looks bigger than that. Is 2,800 correct?

press box is especially small for people actually working ... I covered a game there a few years back and had to stand the entire game ... the "home" guys (PA, scoreboard, digital messages) won't give up any room for you, either. Very hard to keep stats when standing.
Parking is even worse.

If Whitehouse brings the band the Whitehouse fans may all be standing on the fence.

I remember when Gainesville played there my senior year it was standing room only, I would venture to guess that there were well more than 2800 people there for that game..

Stadium really isn't very nice but the fans are right on top of the field and it does make for a great atmosphere.. Oh but beware playing there, Celina likes to pay off the refs and if you have a fast team they will let the grass get a little longer and water it down heavily before the game..

Well its gonna be impossible to make grass grow and they added seats since that game.

So back to my original question... about how many seats is it?

sounds like a altar rice consolidated trick imo

they probably go to the same 'paying-off-the-refs' uil workshop every year or something

I would guess that the stadium holds between 2,800 and 3,500 fans. Very true statement about the upcoming Whitehouse game. Since Whitehouse will bring 500+ students (with their band and drill team), there will be quite a few of their fans standing.

As Keith mentioned earlier, the game with Gainesville a few years back had a very large crowd. If I remember correctly, that game had around 5,000+ fans. It was the largest home crowd that I have witnessed. If it weren't for the traveling distance, the game with Whitehouse could come close to the Gainesville/Celina crowd.

Nobody in 9-3a has a very big stadium

Celina 2800
Prosper 2000
Sanger 2500
Argyle 2500
Whitesboro 2500
Gainsville 5000

Why don't they just move to their other home field. Texas Stadium...now that the Cowboys have their own stadium.. they don't have to share!

man 5,000 is the most to ever be in that stadium? i would have thought with celina's history there would have been an even larger overflow.

we've had over 13,000ish at stephenville-brownwood games before... it stands that hold 7,000 (sville) to 7,800 (bwood)

Im saying Celina was in 2a for years so there wasnt as many fans as say Brownwood who was in 4a for years.

When Celina expanded the stadium in 2004, it tripled the home side capacity. They took the seats in the middle and copied that section on either side. The seats now go pretty much from end zone to end zone, but they're only about 15-20 rows deep.

The Gainesville game took place before the expansion. The visitor's side was fully packed ... at 3:30 in the afternoon. That was one crazy night.

Personally, the biggest crowds I have seen were for Celina vs. Farmersville in 90, PP v. Celina in 98?, and Celina vs. Wakeland a couple of years ago. Wakeland brought a ton of fans because they were undefeated.

I wasn't there for the Gainesville game.

The seating is only one problem...try parking. There is no where to park...it (parking) can be challenge at middle school games.

In Argyle we have added some bleachers, a press box and concessions on the visitor side. That being said we could stand some more seating on the sunny side.

I thought about charging for parking. think anyone will get towed?

Just kidding. Me and mine just walk to the game anyway. Almost always a nice walk. Love it. I have never been to a better place to watch a game. That Gainesville game was great. Standing about 5 deep around the field. I climbed up on the side of the stands and fence so I could watch.

It looks like GA went from the dump, Celina, to the outhouse, PP, to the mansion, Aubrey.

I hope he does well there. I like all three towns. Good people and good schools. And crazy competitive. Always lots of fun.

Well, there is alot of good people in Aubrey. A dozen or so good ones in PP. Maybe 4 or 5 in Celina. :)

Whitehouse travels very well. There will be lots of folks on the visitor side. Can you bring chairs?

Assuming the game this year is another good one, I'd like to see this match up continue. Maybe at a neutral field? How far is Garland or Mesquite from Celina? Neither is too bad a haul from Whitehouse. They also have a Week 0 kickoff classic at Rose Stadium in Tyler, they have a Thursday, Friday and Saturday game with really good matchups. That would be a great place for
Celina vs Whitehouse or against some other ET team like Gilmer or Carthage. Maybe rotate between Rose Stadium in Tyler and Pizza Hut Park in Frisco.
