Guys and girls,
Got word today that I'm heading to Iraq for my second time. I missed China Spring's (oldest boy's team) run to the State Finals in 2007 and will miss my youngest 8th grade season this year.

I was unaware of High School football discussion boards until I was deployed in October 2007. I depended upon a local board to keep in touch with the real world back then. I will depend heavily upon 3A Downlow this time around.

BAD thing about it is that 7:30 pm Friday night games here are 3:30 am Saturday morning there.

Thanks for the thoughts but I just want to clarify and not be mistaken......

I am not a soldier. I have too much respect them and do not wish to convey that I am one of them.

I am a civilian Department of Defense employee ( U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), I oversee contractors that do the construction work both on the bases and in the towns and cities (schools, hopitals, utilities, water treatement plants and waste treatement plants.)

I wear the same uniform,IBA and kevlar but with no insignia. I am not allowed to carry weapons.

Again I thank you for your thoughts but ask for you to also conitnue to keep the Soldiers and Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan in your thoughts and prayers.

Go Cougs.

I'll definitely keep you in my prayers, Rabid. May God keep a protective hedge between you and any possible harm. That's a dangerous region of the world, so be careful. Keep us informed.
