Can the THSCA.com website be a little more specific? It says the basketball is tomorrow (Monday) in Austin,Tx. There are about 30 gyms this could be played at. Last time it was played @ St. Edwards University. Since it says the football game is being played @ the University Of Texas, I'm thinking Memorial Stadium. But I thought the new turf wasn't ready yet?? I even asked a coaching friend of mine and he didn't know. He said to check the THSCA website........

The basketball game is at the Irwin Center. And I don't know if the new turf is ready or not, but the boys have been practicing on the field and the game is at DKR.

Whaley made the highlights on the local Austin NBC station. They showed him making a 15 yard gain and then a TD.

Looked like DKR Memorial Stadium agreed with him!

his performance was 2nd best of the night.

His teammate, dustin harris, stole the show last night.

Punt return for TD, called back due to a penalty
Ran a kickoff back 98 yards for a TD (new game record)
Ran a fumble back 94 yards for a Td (new game record)

Threw and completed a pass

From where I sat, Whaley looked like he might be a bit out of shape. He's a great ball player and I think that he's going to make a big impact right away. He just looked a little out of step sometimes. He is a load.

I left at halftime because it was obviously a blowout in the favor of the south and things weren't going to get better until the South called off the dogs. Shortly before getting up I looked up and realized LHPMom was sitting about 5 rows above me. I made sure to wave and say hi before I left.

Turnovers (and the first half) pretty much killed us. And I agree, KATS....Harris definitely deserved his MVP award. He was very impressive!

Brandon had a great time, played with some great kids for some very good men. And we had fun watching, although winning would've been better. ;)
