Geez man, my dad caught a 13 pounder at Lake Ray Roberts and we thought that was big. That thing is huge.

I didn't think this record would ever be broken. Didn't even open the link, but I'm pretty sure Perry's record was like 22lbs 4oz caught in 1932 at a lake in Georgia. After lake Fork and Florida couldn't do it for years, I thought the record would last until the end of time.

I'm skeptical still.

Lake Fork is the best fishin lake in Texas, after that is Possum Kingdom. I keep trying to get my dad to take me to Lake Fork when I go home but he's in love with Ray Roberts. He won a bass boat at a fishin tournament a couple of years ago on Ray Roberts, so he's not to keen about fishin other places.

I'm skeptical still. There was one caught in California that was larger, but it was foul hooked while sightfishing so it didn't count.

The next world record will probably have to from a lake that is regulary stocked with lots of trout or possibly Tilapea. Both of which are near perfect food sources for growing large bass. It's most likely going to come from Cali or maybe Mexico. That is what the experts say but I doubt the Georgia fish was eating trout
